Rob Hassell (Producer/Composer/Sound Engineer/Sound Designer/Music Technologist)

Rob graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a 1st Class Honours in the J.A.M.E.S (Joint Audio Media Education Support) industry accredited Music Technology degree gaining one of the highest degree classifications, winning the Dean’s prize for best degree classification and the J.A.M.E.S/Richer Sounds prize.


As a pianist with a keen interest in computing, Rob has actively practiced music production throughout his career.  Rob has worked as composer and sound designer for a leading amusement and on-line game manufacturer for over twenty years.  He has created game audio for over 2000 products to date.  He has also created music and sound design for film and animation projects.  Rob continues to have a keen interest in the development of computer game audio, and writes academic papers on the subject, and lectures on game audio, software, and hardware design.

As a musician Rob has performed extensively throughout the UK in many bands over the last 25 years.  In 2003, Rob established The Track Factory recording studio and record label.   The Track Factory focused on the artistic development of local vocalists and groups, and enabled them to gain industry knowledge alongside securing record and management deals.

Rob would now like to share his extensive knowledge through The Track Factory Academy, a music production and sound engineering school based at The Tavern Lane Studio, Wheaton Aston.
